***There will be a table available Saturday morning at the race site for packet pick-up beginning at 7am.
***PARKING***
Parking attendants will direct vendor/runner vehicles into the Marymount Ballston Campus Parking lot and hand out ***100 limited ***parking passes to be displayed on the dashboard of cars.
When the passes have exhausted, attendants will suggest to visitors alternative options such as street and metered parking, Ballston Mall parking lot, etc.
Attendants must turn away 5K visitors without passes or their vehicles will be subject to towing as Marymount classes will be in session.
WE ARE ENCOURAGING PEOPLE TO "DUMP THE PUMP" AND TAKE THE METRO - ORANGE LINE TO BALLSTON STOP - THEN WALK THE 3 BLOCKS TO THE START LINE.

Category Winners' Prizes: Merchandise distributed to male/female winners in the following age group divisions (one deep).

Refreshments: Food and water from Whole Foods Arlington will be provided at the finish area for runners. An award ceremony will be held after the race.
Bathroom facilities: Porta-potties are available in the area of the start/finish line. Handicap accessible porta-potties are also available.
Restrictions: Headsets of any kind, dogs on leashes, in-line skates, bicycles and vehicles to transport children are prohibited.
Property Storage: There will be no baggage drop-off available at this time.
Hazardous Weather: The average temperature at race time is in the 61 to 85 degree range.
Heat Advisory
The weather in June may bring heat and high humidity. Check the weather forecast. In the event of such conditions on race day, be sure to:
* Be adequately hydrated.
a) Drink plenty of water the night before the race;
b) Drink at least 8-12 ounces of water in the two hours before the race;
c) Drink at least 1-2 cups of water at each of the water stops on the course (feel free to pour water on yourself during the race);
d) Drink plenty of water at the end of the race.
* Adjust your expectations.
Run to finish, not to run your fastest. Depending upon the heat, you may need to slow your pace by as much as one minute/mile.
* Pay attention to your body. Heed the signs of heat injury. If you feel nauseated, dizzy, disoriented, headache-y, or if you stop sweating-STOP RUNNING. Find shade, seek medical attention.
Find the race: From north of Washington, DC:
Take Interstate 95 South to 495 West. Continue past Maryland exits to Virginia. Take Exit 43 (George Washington Parkway South) to Rt. 123 North (second Rt. 123 exit-Chain Bridge Road). Follow to traffic light at the end of road, turn right onto Glebe Road (Rt. 120 South) and follow for 4.5 miles. Ballston Center is on the right.
From south of Washington, DC:
Take Interstate 95 North, which becomes 395 inside the Beltway. Exit Glebe Road (Rt. 120 North), marked "Marymount University." Continue on Glebe Road approximately 5 miles. Ballston Center is on the left.
From DC via I-66:
Exit Glebe Road (Rt. 120); turn left at traffic light. Drive approximately 1 mile. Marymount is on the right.
From the west via I-66:
Exit Glebe Road/Fairfax Drive. Turn left into Ballston Center parking lot immediately after light.
From Route 50-Arlington Boulevard (either direction):
Exit Glebe Road (Rt. 120 North). Drive 1 mile. Ballston Center is on the left.
