2010 Course
This USATF-certified course runs along Army Navy Drive starting and finishing at the popular The Shops at Pentagon Row shopping complex.

 

Timing
This event will utilize IPICO timing tags. IPICO timing tags are durable, recyclable tags. You must use the tag assigned to you and have attached to your shoe. No chip = no time. Our timing tags are recyclable; you may keep your tag, return at the finish, or recycle at any Pacers Running Store.

 

Awards
Top three overall M/F (no duplicate age group awards)

First Place: $100
Second Place: $75
Third Place: $50

ACT runner hats to the top M/F in the following age groups: 0-7, 8-10, 11-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+

Champps Bonus:

When you finish the race, you will receive a pre-loaded gift card valued at $3 or $30 dollars to redeem at Champps Pentagon Row (card values are randomly assigned). Card redemptions are good for food and/or beverages and are one per person. Must be 21 to consume alcohol; bring ID.

 

Directions/Parking/METRO
The race starts and finishes on South Joyce Street near Pacers Pentagon Row. Pacers is located in The Shops at Pentagon Row, a shopping complex west of Pentagon City Mall and south of the Pentagon. For directions, please visit their website - click here

  • METRO: This event is METRO accessible; take the Pentagon City or Pentagon exit. Follow signs for Pentagon Row.
  • Garage Parking: Garage parking is available at Pentagon City Mall for a nominal fee. Enter off of Army Navy Drive.
  • Surface Parking: Limited complimentary parking is available in certain Pentagon lots. Please follow posted signs. Do not park in apartment complex parking lots.
  • On Street Parking: On street parking is free on Sundays. Do not park on South Joyce Street Sunday AM where no parking signs are posted; you will be ticketed and towed.

 

Weather and Safety Policy

In the event of extreme weather conditions, the race organizers, as advised by the Arlington County Police and Fire/EMS Departments, reserve the right to cancel the race or run it as an untimed "Fun Run" without advance notice.

If this should be necessary:

  • Participants will receive premiums (in accordance with registration policies)
  • Prizes will be converted to random prizes
  • No entry-fee refunds will be made

The final decision regarding the conduct of the race will be made between 6:30am and 7:45am the morning of the race and will be announced over the race public address system.

 

Road Closures
South Joyce Street will be closed 6:30am to 9:30am on race morning. Army Navy Drive between 25th Street, South and South Joyce Street will be closed 7:15am-9:00am.

Frequently Asked Questions
May I pick up a packet for friends or family?
Yes, you may pick up a packet for someone else. Please just alert them that you will be picking up their packet.

May I register during packet pick up?
Yes, you can as space permits. We accept check, cash, and credit card. Please note that on race morning, we only accept checks and cash.

May I wear headphones during the run?
Yes, however, you are responsible for being aware of your surroundings.

May I run with a stroller?
Runners with strollers are responsible for maintaining control of their stroller and must be considerate of others around them. Please start in the back.

May I run with my dog?
Pets are not allowed in the 5K, but gentle ones are welcome to watch.

Will there be a water stop?
Yes. Look for them halfway through the race.

What is your refund policy?
Unfortunately, there are no refunds for this event. We also do not accept transfers or deferments for this event.

Is there a baggage drop?
Yes. Bag drop is located near Champps Pentagon Row.

Is there a time cutoff for the event?
You must be able to finish the 5K course in 60 minutes.
